Organizational InformationType of Environmental Education Provider: Not for Profit Mission Statement: The Headlands Institute is a private, non-profit educational organization dedicated to teaching science and environmental education in nature's classroom to inspire a personal connection to the natural world and responsible actions to sustain it. Headlands Institute provides residential field-science programs, professional development opportunities for teachers, youth development programs, and camp programs for students of all ages. Our talented faculty provide natural history lessons, team building activities and physical challenges for program participants. Headlands Institute curriculum is based on three core themes: sense of place, interconnections, and stewardship. Since our inception 30 years ago, we have enjoyed working with over 100,000 participants.
