Description:  Secondary level modules of Project Learning Tree, The Changing Forest: Forest Ecology (1998, 136 p.), Exploring Environmental Issues: Focus on Risk (1998, 227 p.), and Exploring Environmental Issues: Focus on Forests (1998, 76 p.) help students explore environmental issues through investigation and experimentation, and take action to solve problems. Forest Ecology examines the ecological systems, natural processes, and human influences within a forest. Focus on Risk explores the meaning and implication of risk assessment, probability, and decision-making regarding risks, wildfires, and natural hazards. Focus on Forests examines conflicts in old growth forests, including ownership, management, and endangered species on forest lands. A supplement correlates activities to California Content Standards for Science, History-Social Science, and English-Language Arts.
