The Critter Catalog offers 37 laminated pages that feature a full-color photograph and descriptive information on a life form found in vernal pools. The Flower Facts binder offers 41 laminated pages that feature a full-color photograph and descriptive information on vernal pool flowers arranged according to color. The Teacher's Manual (69 p. plus appendices) provides 13 lessons based on watersheds, vernal pool ecology, the three phases of a vernal pool ecosystem, development of a classroom laboratory to raise fairy shrimp, vernal pool plants and wildlife, water quality, and environmental stewardship.
