Description:  Conflict in Context: Understanding Local to Global Security (2001, 369 p.) examines local, national, international, and transboundary security issues, dynamics of global economics, human rights protection, environmental conflicts, and conflict resolution. Forty middle and secondary level social science-based activities explore the concepts, help students analyze a multitude of perspectives on what constitutes security, understand the relationship between natural resources and security, and become involved in peacemaking efforts and public policy development through simulation exercises.
