Activities in Volume I (1993 reprint, 120 p.) help students in grades 79 investigate human population dynamics and food resources, limits to growth, water resources and use, cycles in urban environments, consumer choices, use of natural resources, and the relationship between human demand for resources and global environmental problems. Ultimately, students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding through their behavior as consumers.
