Organizational InformationType of Environmental Education Provider: City Gov't Mission Statement: It is the purpose of the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District to control storm and other surface water flows: preventing property damage, personal injury and inconvenience; and managing such waters for long-term beneficial use. Public involvement and education is part of water resource management, and FMFCD offers classroom educational materials, classroom and assembly presentations, mini-grants for environmental projects and for class field trips to the San Joaquin River.
