Organizational InformationType of Environmental Education Provider: City Gov't Mission Statement: The Nature Center's 102.5-acre wildlife habitat is an island of serenity in the midst of the busy urban landscape. Two lakes, a stream, two miles of dirt trail and a 1/4-mile paved access trail wind through meadows and forested areas to offer visitors a rewarding getaway. Home to fox and weasel, turtle and hawk, the Center allows people to forget they're in the city. Adults and children can combine education with fun by visiting the interactive, hands-on exhibits available in the museum before they walk the trails.
