EE Program/Resource Details

Provided by:   Exploring New Horizons Outdoor School

Description:  In the same format as our 25 year old Loma Mar program, this newest ENH program is located two miles from Big Basin State Park above Boulder Creek, CA. The program includes discovery walks through Big Basin State Park to visit old growth redwoods and conduct creek studies, Natural Bridges State Beach to visit tidepools and the nearby estuary, and an on-site day that incudes time in our organic garden and a visist with our non-releasable red-tailed hawk. We are also working with a few of our attending schools and NOAA to monitor sand crabs (a major shore bird food source) at Natural Bridges State Beach, and welcome schools interested in participating in this exciting research study. Residential Outdoor School, Science Camp, and Outdoor Education.
