Description:  Winter Survival training gives students the tools they need to decrease their odds of getting lost, and increase their odds of survival. The curriculum is high student interest, promotes teamwork, cooperation and builds self-esteem. Students participate in activities including snowshoeing, building snow caves, playing avalanche transceiver 'hide and seek', and using a compass. Donner Trail School, located on the banks of the Yuba River with our average annual snowfall of 20 feet, provides a beautiful natural setting for for this outdoor education experience. Location:Kingvale, CA. off I-80 near Soda Springs.
