Description:  Our Only Earth (1998 reprint) is a four-unit interdisciplinary curriculum (grade levels 4—12) focused on global problem solving. Three of the four units were reviewed for this compendium: Endangered Species (108 p.), Poverty, Hunger & Overpopulation (106 p.), and The Ocean Crisis (112 p.). Each unit offers eight classroom activities that begin with an introduction to the issue and conclude with student research projects and a Youth Summit. Cooperative learning exercises, world geography lessons, and strategies to conduct self-directed learning experiences are included. Masters for a Summit Journal, glossary, and bibliography are also provided.
