Description:  CurriculumEarth: An Awareness to Action Program for K—12 consists of 15 units covering environmental education, earth, life, and physical science as well as social science. Lessons are sequentially arranged and move from a study of awareness and values to knowledge and action. Glossary, bibliography, resources, and numerous appendices are included.

The Communities units were reviewed for the purpose of this compendium. At the grade 6 level, (1997, 246 p.), lessons focus on the human community, interactions within communities, abiotic factors and the human impact on ecosystems. Activities are correlated with National Geography Standards, Project 2061 Benchmarks for Science Literacy, and National Science Education Standards.
