Description:  Economics and the Environment (1996, 239 p.) examines the relationship between natural resources (air, water, the ozone layer, fossil fuels, minerals, and wildlife, for example) and economics, and offers lessons that apply an economic approach to analyzing environmental problems. Twenty lessons are organized around seven units: the environment and the economy, getting the most from natural resources, economic roots of environmental problems, finding solutions when markets cannot, implementing environmental solutions, management of natural resource stocks, and the economic development of a finite environment. Extensive glossary is included.
