Organizational InformationType of Environmental Education Provider: Not for Profit Mission Statement: The Barry R. Krishner Wildlife Foundation was founded in 1994. It is conveniently located just minutes south of Chico in Durham; it is the only organization of its kind in California, north of Sacramento. The mission of the foundation is to educate the public about the care and preservation of all wildlife and their habitats, both local and global. The Foundation is home to a remarkable variety of non-releasable, endangered and exotic live animals. Each animal is housed in an enclosure which far exceeds State and Federal regulations. Animal residents include a mountain lion, black African Leopard, a spotted Asiatic Leopard, a Bengal tiger, a Sumatran/Indochinese tigress, a white Siberian tiger and tigress, an African lion and lioness, a serval, and ocelot, and assortment of exotic birds, and a giant Burmese python.
