Organizational Information

Mission Statement: The Center for Geographic Education provides services intended to help teachers help students learn geography. Programs include in-service opportunities, workshops, and participation in regional and national meetings aimed at enriching the geographic knowledge of the K-12 teacher. Center personnel also maintain a library of geography curriculum materials for teachers' use. Geography graduate students and Center personnel help teachers and parents learn how to paint outline maps on school playgrounds. Many services are free. Others are prorated according to ability to pay. All fees are donations to the Center. Grades K-12
